Important Voting and Election Information

My memory may not be good, but it covers a long period of time.My memory tells me that I never remember an election more important to Arizona school districts than the upcoming November 8, 2022 election. Voting needs to be a high priority for everyone. Paul Bentz from Highground shared some numbers with me that tell me that being registered to vote and actually voting is not a priority for many Arizona citizens. First, not getting registered. We have approximately 5.6 million adults over 18, yet only 4.1 million are registered to vote. For 1.5 million, being registered to vote is not a high priority. If turnout, as expected, is around 65% of the 4.1 million registered, 35% or 1.4 million will not actually make voting a priority. In summary, for 1.5 million, getting registered was not a priority and for 1.4 million registered actually voting may not be a priority. So an estimated 2.9 million  or over 50% of the 5.6 potential voters may NOT actually vote this November. Your job is to be registered to vote and to get others registered and join you in voting. We want to remind you of things you need to know to make sure that you will be eligible to vote in the November 8, 2022 election. Link to https://www.arizona.vote/ to get information from the Office of the Arizona Secretary of State to make sure you will be ready to vote. This site will help you with "Your Voter Info" to check your voter registration and to request a ballot by mail. If not registered to vote, "Register To Vote".  It is important that you check your voter registration status now because YOU MUST BE REGISTERED ON OR BEFORE October 11, 2022 TO BE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022. The individuals elected on November 8, 2022 will decide policy and funding issues that will impact your school district and your school district related business for years to come. In baseball, three strikes and you are out. I will send this email and two reminders before October 11th...get registered if not already registered and don't strike out and be registered and vote.
